The Grief Recovery Method
The Grief that comes with any emotional loss can be overwhelming and isolating.
You may have discovered those you normally count on for emotional support are at a total loss when it comes to offering effective and meaningful assistance. Often well-meaning family and friends will give logical reasons why you should not feel bad, but that rarely helps. Saying things like time heals or he/she is in a better place are not helpful in reducing the emotional pain you are experiencing. Grief is emotional and not logical. Your heart is broken, and often intellectual statements offered to comfort can actually cause more pain and suffering.
The fact that you’re here and gathering information is encouraging. The first step is always taking action.
Congratulations, well done!

Group Support – 7 week program
This support group offers a safe environment for grievers to take effective and lasting action, no matter the type of loss experienced. I offer these group sessions locally based on interest and demand. Generally, groups are small and 10-16 people. If this is your preferred method send me a message to be added to the waitlist.

Helping Children with Grief
The vast majority of parents find themselves at a loss when trying to help their children deal with any grieving experience that impacts them. This 4-week program is designed to teach parents, and others who work with children, the necessary tools to help children effectively deal with their broken hearts, no matter the loss they are facing. This program can be delivered individually or in a group.

Pet Loss Support Group
The loss of a pet can be emotionally devastating. Sadly, the impact of the heartbreak of this type of loss is often downplayed or ignored by friends and family. This 6-meeting program is focused on offering pet owners an effective mechanism for taking action to move through and beyond their grief. FAQ
What is The Grief Recovery Method® program?
What's the difference between one-on-one and group programs?
In a one-on-one program, you’ll work directly with me. You’ll hear my story and get direct support from me throughout. With the one-on-one program you have the option of in person or online.
In a group program, you’ll work with me as well as others. You’ll hear my story as well as the stories of others and get support from the group through the later weeks of the program.
What losses are okay to work on?
What can I expect from our time together?
During each session, you’ll be welcomed into a confidential, non-judgmental space where you’ll be expected to share the truth of your story as it happened to you. You’ll also be expected to complete weekly reading and homework assignments.
From me, you can expect open ears and an open heart ready to receive your story. I’m also available to answer logistical questions about the program.
What should I bring?
Do I have to attend every session?
How is The Grief Recovery Method® different from therapy?
The Grief Recovery Method® is a series of steps specifically designed to help you recover from major loss within a set time frame. Unlike traditional therapy,
